Download iOS 7.0.3 for iPhone 5

Not long after iOS 7 was released, it was followed by two updates in quick succession – 7.0.1 to fix a Touch ID issue on the iPhone 5S and 7.0.2 to fix a lockscreen security issue.  As with any software, public release does not by any means guarantee perfection and new issues are being discovered on a regular basis.  iMessage seems to be causing the most amount of problems with users complaining of an inability to send or receive messages and an activation issue since upgrading to iOS 7.

Today, Apple has released iOS 7.0.3, primarily to fix this issue but there are quite a few other fixes and features included in it as well.  It has a build number of 11B511 and is available to download in one of the three following ways:

OTA

This is the smallest upgrade and takes only a couple of minutes.  If you are planning to use the iOS 7 jailbreak when it becomes available, do not update OTA, use iTunes or the IPSW method.

1. Open Settings
2. Tap General
3. Tap Software Update 
4. Your iPhone 5 will search for the latest update – tap Download and Install
5. iOS 7.0.3 will now be installed and you iPhone 5 will reboot to complete the installation

iTunes

1. Connect your iPhone 5 to your PC or Mac and open iTunes
2. Open up Device Summary and click on Update 
3. When iTunes informs you of the new upgrade, click on  Download and Install 
4. Your iPhone 5 will restart to complete the upgrade

IPSW

1. Download the relevant iOS 7.0.3 IPSW
2. Follow the instructions for iTunes
3. When you click on Update, make sure you are holding SHIFT at the same time (ALT for Mac)
4. Navigate to the IPSW and iTunes will upgrade your iPhone 5 

If you are planning on jailbreaking, your iPhone 5 please wait for the developers to confirm that this upgrade is safe.

Changes in iOS 7.0.3:

1. iCloud Keychain added
2. Password Generator added to let Safari give you strong password ideas
3. Lockscreen update to delay the unlock slider appearing when you are using Touch ID
4. Spotlight Search updated  to add in web and Wikipedia search
5. iMessage issues – activation and not sending or receiving fixed
6. System now more stable when iWorks is being used
7. Accelerometer calibration issue fixed
8. Siri and Voice Over – low quality voice and over sensitive input fixed
9. Lockscreen passcode security issue fixed
10. Reduce Motion setting has been changed to lower the animation and motion
11. Bold text setting now works on Dial Pad text
12. Bug that caused supervised devices to become unsupervised during software updates fixed.

Upanishads

The term Upanishad is derived from upa (near), ni (down) and s(h)ad (to sit). In ancient Indian teaching system groups of pupils sit near the teacher to learn from him the secret doctrine. Upanishad means brahma-knowledge by which ignorance is loosened or destroyed. In the Upanishads the spiritual meanings of the Vedic texts are brought out and emphasized in their own right. The Upanishads more clearly set forth the prime Vedic doctrines. The Upanishads constitute what we call the Vedanta (Veda-anta), the end of the Vedas, not merely because they constitute the last part of them, but above all because they are their ultimate teachings, reaching to the highest metaphysical state.

The older Upanishads are usually affixed to a particularly Veda, through a Brahmana or Aranyaka.

Some 350 Upnanishads are known to exist but traditionally 108 Upanishads contained in the Muktikopanishad are considered most important.
